ToolE supports standard parent/child variation mapping.
Shopify side (how ToolE expects it)
In Shopify, you can create variants under a single product.
Each variant should have its own SKU, so ToolE can link one Shopify variant → one Amazon SKU.
Example:
Shopify product: “Protein Bars”
Variant “12 pack” → SKU PB-12
Variant “24 pack” → SKU PB-24
Amazon:
Offer/SKU PB-12 maps to Shopify “12 pack”
Offer/SKU PB-24 maps to Shopify “24 pack”
If you link using Metafields
If you are storing Amazon SKUs in metafields instead of Shopify’s native SKU field:
Use a variant metafield, so each variant has its own mapping value.
(Product-level metafields are only suitable when the identifier is truly product-wide.)
What ToolE does not handle
ToolE is not designed for:
Complex “choose a SKU based on size logic”
One-to-many mapping for multi-variant ASINs
